OVpay is the new way to check in and out. On this page you can read whether you can switch and how it works.
Choose the card you want to travel with
Would you like to switch? Then you can travel using your debit card or credit card (a physical card or one on your mobile phone or smartwatch), or the physical OV‑card.
Can I switch already?
Do you still have a travel product (subscription or discount product) on your OV‑chipkaart? In many cases, you can still switch. Below and in our webshop you can see which of our travel products are suitable for travel with a debit/credit card or the new OV‑card.
Please note: if you also have a travel product from another transport company, it may not yet be possible to switch with that product.

Switched already? Cancel your OV‑chipkaart
Have you switched to OVpay and no longer have any travel products on your OV‑chipkaart? Then you can cancel your OV‑chipkaart. There may still be credit on your card—don’t forget to request a refund. You can request your balance and cancel your card easily via ov-chipkaart.nl.

Would you like to cancel your product?
Do you still have an EBS/MeerPlus travel product on your OV‑chipkaart and want to cancel it early? That is currently only possible with your Randstad Noord Zone annual subscription.
Please note: you can continue using your annual subscription on your OV‑chipkaart until its expiration date.
